We are looking for parents to join our volunteer board for the 2026-2027 season. Please email admin@danvillegirlschorus.org for more information and available positions.

Regular attendance is an important factor in the success of our choirs, and we emphasize the need to be present and prepared when rehearsals begin at 4:30pm each week. We suggest you arrive by 4:20p. Remember, "On Time is Late!" The DGC Membership Chair tracks every singer's attendance each week, as well as the reason for the absence. Each trimester, your daughter is allowed one absence. Being tardy for rehearsal, or leaving early, is considered "half" of an absence. Singers who are absent 2 or more times per trimester may not be eligible for solos, and will need approval from the Choir Director in order to perform at the concert.

Concert Choir Music Camp is required for all singers in the Concert Choir. Music Camp gives the music staff an opportunity to build musical and vocal skills, to teach new music, and to provide the individual and small group attention that girls may need.   And don't forget the fun! At Music Camp you will also have the opportunity to make new friends, dress up in a daily DGC Spirit theme, make crafts, sing karaoke, and much more! If your daughter is currently in 5th grade or above, and sings with the Intermediate or the Apprentice Choir, she may be promoted to the Concert Choir in May during DGC Placement Auditions for current singers. For this reason, we ask that you please make your summer vacation plans carefully. All Concert Choir singers MUST attend Music Camp. If you have a conflict, you must arrange for a one-on-one contract with Mr. Abrams to learn the music in advance of the first rehearsal of the new season. The Honor Choir is selected during Music Camp, and so all singers wishing to participate in the Honor Choir must attend Music Camp or, if there is a scheduling conflict, have made arrangements with Mr. Abrams to be considered. The tuition rate for the 2026 camp is $400 for the week-long camp.
